The National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) has announced the commencement date for remobilization on its portal.
In a tweet on its official X account, NYSC stated that its portal would be opened for remobilization from Wednesday, May 8th to May 13th, 2024.
DAILY INSIDER reports that the remobilization exercise is for those who started the national service but later absconded.

Meanwhile, this publication reported earlier that the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) has denied a circulating story about a corps member being assigned to the Amotekun Corps for their mandatory one-year program.
DAILY INSIDER gathers that an alleged graduate took to social media to share his frustration upon discovering he was assigned to serve NYSC program with the Amotekun Corps.
In a statement released on Saturday, March 23, by NYSC Oyo State’s Assistant Director of Press and Public Relations, Ms. Christy Olatoye, it clarified that Amotekun is not listed among the employers in the NYSC database.
The alleged graduate whose identity remains undisclosed, had posted a screenshot of his NYSC deployment letter on his Twitter account, @bigfeeztm.

DAILY INSIDER also reported that Brigadier General Yusha’u Ahmed, the Director-General of the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC), cautioned corps members about sharing camp activities on social media.
This disclosure was made while addressing the 2024 Batch A Stream 1 corps members at the NYSC Ogun State Permanent Orientation Camp in Sagamu.
He emphasised that moments captured during the three-week exercise should remain for their personal enjoyment and not be shared online.
