The Nigerian Police Force has invited the family of the late singer Mohbad and others implicated in the ongoing investigation regarding the illegal embalming of the deceased’s body.
Born Ilerioluwa Aloba, Mohbad died at the age of 27 years. His death was a global tragedy as Nigerians and music lovers both at home and abroad demanded justice.
Recall that On September 21, 2023, his body was exhumed for an autopsy, and the police announced they were awaiting the results
According to reports, Boluwatife Adeyemo, also known as Darosha, who served as Mohbad’s Personal Assistant, was questioned at the Zone 2 Police Headquarters in the presence of the deceased’s parents, Joseph and Abosede.
Following Darosha’s interrogation, the police requested the presence of all individuals mentioned in his statement for further questioning.
Monisola Odumosu, the head of the family’s legal team, disclosed in a statement that the second interrogation session took place at the Zone 2 Police Headquarters in Lagos State on Tuesday, May 7.
Odumosu further stated that the police will soon reveal who illegally embalmed the body of the late singer.
He also disclosed that the police intend to finalize their report and continue investigations, which will be forwarded to the Legal Department of the force for recommendations.
The meeting, chaired at Zone 2, included Mohbad’s father, Joseph Aloba, his younger brother, Adura Aloba, his mother, Abosede Olumuyi, his wife, Cynthia Omowunmi Aloba, as well as witnesses and legal representatives for both parties.
Mohbad: Toxicology Test Complete as Nigerians Await Cause of Death
Meanwhile, DAILY INSIDER reported earlier that the toxicology test carried out on Mohbad, the late singer, to determine the cause of his death has been completed.
An autopsy was conducted to ascertain the cause of his death following a directive from the Lagos state government.

The final test results were sent to the state DNA and Forensic Centre last week and handed over to the police, Punch reports.
This publication gathered that the report has also been forwarded to the medical pathologist who conducted the autopsy for analysis and interpretation.
