The Oyo state government says the Iseyin-Fapote-Ogbomoso road will soon be completed.
The 76.67 km road connects all the five local governments in Ogbomoso to the ten local governments in Oke-Ogun region of Oyo state.
The road which was awarded by the Oyo state government to Kopek Construction Ltd and and Craneburg Construction Ltd, is undergoing construction daily and will soon be completed.
The Iseyin End of the Iseyin-Fapote-Ogbomoso Road covers Iseyin-Apewo Village. It includes a 65m span bridge. While the Ogbomoso End of the road is from Apewo Village-Ogbomoso and this includes a 45m bridge and an underpass. The project was awarded in December 2021 and is now about 80% completed. The road also provides easy access between the Ladoke Akintola University of Technology Campus in Ogbomoso and its newly completed Iseyin Campus.
The Oyo State Government is constructing major roads to link all five zones in the State. Ibadan and Oke Ogun Zones as well as Oyo and Oke-Ogun Zones have already been linked. The road to link Ibadan and Ibarapa Zones and Ibarapa and Oke-Ogun Zones are currently ongoing.
